The Firm had a night to remember on 27th June as they took home the award at Yorkshire’s Royal Television Society Awards for ‘Best Promotion or Commercial Production’ for Annie Drury’s video for ‘Some Day’, which was produced and promoted by the music company.
The music company’s ability to stand out from the crowd in skill and professional excellence was also recognised with nominations in two other categories – ‘Professional Excellence: Production’, and ‘Professional Excellence: Post Production’.
The ‘Professional Excellence: Production’ nomination came in recognition of company Director and Producer Bob Bradley’s production of renowned dance act Above and Beyond’s ‘Best Of..’ album, which was made up of live tracks taken from acoustic performances which took place at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and Porchester Hall in London last year. Bob not only produced the album, which topped the US iTunes Dance chart at Number 1 and reached Number 10 in the UK chart, but also acted as musical director of the shows, which Billboard hailed as “one of the finest and more memorable shows in EDM history”.
The Firm’s composition of the music theme for ITV’s Tales From Northumberland with Robson Green received the recognition of a nomination for ‘Professional Excellence: Post Production’. The theme, which incorporated a modern feel with traditional folk musical elements, highlighted Northumberland’s beautiful landscape and unique history to create a fitting soundtrack, and was a collaboration of the company’s musical team: composed by Bob Bradley, Steve Dymond, and Matt Sanchez.
Managing Director of the company, Dalit Lauren, said of the win and nomination: ‘both the win and nominations received by the Royal Television Society are fantastic recognition for us. We are consistently striving for excellence, and to be recognised for doing so is a really great achievement’.
