Our music is made by a dedicated team of world-class composers, producers and musicians led by one of the UK’s most renowned, Bob Bradley, who has a vast broadcast experience and impressive commercial music portfolio alongside Dalit Lauren who has 20 years of experience in the TV industry, specialising in post production.

We create outstanding production music and bespoke compositions using real musicians and detailed arrangements along with cutting edge production. This gives every composition no matter what the genre the magic, emotion and energy required to enhance the screen experience, expressing the values and identity of the programme, film or brand.
From concept to creation, the writing team at the Firm are meticulous at every stage. Firstly, a conversation on stylistics and emotions are discussed between the team followed by first draft demos. We involve the client from the demo stage, allowing them to comment before live recording and deeper production.
Our system of production and mixing allows us to easily adapt and tweak the music as it develops and then finally, the music is mixed on our in-house 64 Channel Neve console.

Co-founder of The Firm, Bob’s internationally renowned music production and composition expertise, combined with his business vision, have helped the company to become one of the most acclaimed music production companies in the UK.
With over 20 years experience in the music business, Bob has co-written and produced smash hits for the Sugababes, Gabriella Cilmi, and worked with some of the biggest names in pop and EDM, including Girls Aloud, Texas, Kylie Minogue, Above and Beyond, and many more.
After relocating to Yorkshire, Bob immersed himself in music production for TV, quickly becoming one of the UK’s most sought after composers, with credits for Kirstie and Phil, Dick and Dom, Panorama, O2, and Persil to name but a few.
Steve joined the team at The Firm in 2011, bringing with him his musical talent along with significant expertise in writing and composition for TV and has since become a real asset for the company.
Steve has been involved in the composition of music for Planet Dinosaur Files (CBBC), Man Vs Earth (Sky), To Build or Not to Build (BBC) and Hollyoaks (Channel 4).
Steve has been in the music business for over 15 years, playing in many bands and supporting the likes of the Babyshambles, The View and the Pigeon Detectives.
An accomplished jazz pianist and musical director, Adam brings his international performance repertoire and experience in West End Theatre to The Firm, where his fantastic acoustic piano skills have been showcased on many of our projects.
Graduating from The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2006 with a degree in Music & Composition, Adam has since worked on a variety of projects, including The X Factor, various West End Shows such as in world famous Chicago, Billy Elliot and Grease also performing worldwide with The Temptations, Tony Christie and Peter Grant.
Co-founder of The Firm, Dalit has overseen and helped to develop the professional excellence and creative output of the company since its origin in 2007.
Dalit brings 20 years experience in the TV industry to the company having forged a career in post-production in London working with many high-end companies such as Mollnare, TVC Soho, The Mill, and Partizan, along with main broadcasters such as MTV, BBC, ITV, and Channel 4, before moving to Yorkshire.
Having relocated up north, Dalit has worked with Yorkshire Television and various indie production companies such as True North, Shiver, and Raise the Roof.
Bringing with her such expertise in TV production and sound editing, Dalit is able to ensure that each project executed by The Firm is of the highest level of service to their clients.
Tim Hutton is a multi-instrumentalist writer and producer with a varied career stretching over four decades.
Initially working as a solo artist on various major and large independent labels throughout the 80s and 90s he has made a name for himself through his work writing for other more established artists such as Ian Brown, Groove Armada and the Prodigy. He has been a touring musician for many years both with his own projects and a host of others, and also contributed playing a variety of instruments on a variety of named artists’ albums.
Thomas Balmforth is an accomplished composer and producer, having completed a Masters degree in Composition in 2015.
Unifying the contemporary and traditional, Tom’s unique composition style expertly blends the bold and new with a refined elegance.
Since joining The Firm, Thomas has written for programmes such as The Lie Detective (Ch4), The Mystery of the Cross Rail Skulls (Ch4), Can’t Pay We’ll Take It Away (Ch5), Bloody Tales of Europe (Nat Geo) and Planet Dinosaur Files (CBBC).
Specialising in electronic music and orchestral composition, his work has been recorded by the London Session Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios
Joining in June 2014 as in-house engineer, Gavin has quickly become an invaluable asset to the day-to-day running of the The Firm’s studio.
Bringing with him an excellent knowledge of the physics of sound, technology, and equipment, Gav’s role sees him working on everything from sound engineering, sound recording, and music production, to exerting his expertise on the studios’ industry-leading Neve board.
Prior to joining The Firm, Gavin put his engineering skills to work in the live arena, working with artists such as Fat Boy Slim, Jamie Cullum, and Amy Winehouse, as well as engineering in the studio for the likes of Lulu and Ronan Keating, to name but a few.
Matt Parker is an experienced composer and producer with a history of working alongside some of the music industry’s top producers at major record labels. These include the likes of Ken Thomas (Sigur Ros), Marcus Dravs (Coldplay, Bjork), and Dave Creffield (Embrace, Kaiser Chiefs) to name but a few.
Matt has a wealthy knowledge of indie, pop, and rock, having signed his first major deal with Universal at the young age of nineteen as the guitarist in Budapest. He has toured worldwide and performed at popular music festivals such as Benicassim, Isle of White and South by South West. He also produced and performed on the self-titled Scars 45 record for Chop Shop Atlantic, which received critical acclaim in the US.
Harrison joined The Firm as a production assistant after graduating from Leeds College of Music with a degree in BA (Hons) Music Production.
Harrison has a wealth of experience in co-writing and production for artists and bands, composition for Film/TV and games, and performing as a lead vocalist, bassist and guitarist.
Being a versatile member of the company, Harrison works alongside Gavin McGrath (senior studio engineer) assisting with live recording sessions, editing and project organisation. He also lends his vocal talent to some of the Firm’s compositions and projects.
Nick graduated from Leeds College of Music with a BA (Hons) in Music Production, before coming to work with The Firm in 2008.
Specialising in keyboards, guitar and bass, his credits include co-writing on Sony games ‘Black Rain’, ‘The Mail on Sunday’ and the Gillette Advert.
Nick is involved in much of The Firm’s composition projects and is very much a ‘right hand man’ to Bob Bradley.
Matt Sanchez has been working as a musician and composer since graduating from university in 2006 with a BA Hons in Creative Music Technology. Matt joined The Firm in 2008 and has gone on to compose, produce and collaborate on many projects with co-founder Bob Bradley.
His forte lies in electronica and orchestral music, which has helped secure him TV credits for Sky Bingo, Panorama (BBC), Dispatches (Channel 4) and Planet Dinosaur Files (CBBC), alongside co-producing pop tracks for Hollyoaks (Channel 4) and Gok’s Clothes Show (Channel 4).
World renowned songwriter and producer John Beck joins our team of composers at The Firm.
John established his reputation for songwriting excellence with huge hits ‘Put Your Records On’ sung by Grammy Award-winning British singer songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae and Tasmin Archer’s ‘Sleeping Satellite’ which sold 1.5 million records and received a Brit Award. Since then John has worked with numerous artists including Sam Smith, Paloma Faith, Will Young and many more which has led to Grammy and Ivor Nominations.
John is currently working on our artist development division with some of the finest talent in Yorkshire and beyond.
